Taking care of your skin during this pandemic can be hectic. You can't go to spas or beauty salons freely, unlike before, because of social distance. However, it doesn't mean you can't do anything about it. There other alternatives to continue achieving that youthful, glowing, and vibrant look.

Here are some vital elements you can do for your skin.

Wash Your Hands and Wear Masks

These are the most critical measures against Covid 19. Ensure that you spend about twenty seconds washing your hands under running water. Wear masks to ensure you cover your mouth and nose. Wash the reusable masks with warm water and soap every day. It would help if you also ironed them before use. Lastly, use sanitizers that have ethanol as the main component.

Moisturizing

Moisturizing helps to hydrate the skin. It doesn't matter whether you have acombination, an oily, or dry skin. Water-based moisturizers work better for oily skins. Use a moisturizer that doesn't clog the skin. Don’t use products that contain petrolatum. They can get into the masks.

Exfoliating

Exfoliating is an essential step. Exfoliate your skin for a maximum of three days per week. You should use the right products for the process. Do not overpressure your skin during this exercise.

Use of Toner

Toner kills bacteria, and helps in balancing the ph. of the skin. It also tightens the pores. Apply toner sparingly to avoid drying the skin. Wash your skin morning and evening daily to ensure it remains clean.

Get a good cleanser that would not dry out your skin. Alternate them such that you use the gentle one in the morning.

Eat a balanced diet

Sugar, dairy, and gluten trigger acne. Processed foods are the worst. Low diets accumulate toxins in your body. Eat fruits and vegetables for healthy skin. Trying incorporating vitamin C and antioxidants in your diet, as they are good for the skin.

Antioxidants will help to get rid of toxins in the body and keep you healthy. Vitamin c helps to keep the immune system in shape.

Drink Plenty of Water

Water is vital for our general body. It helps to keep you hydrated. It flushes out toxins. You should take at least eight glasses of water daily. It also helps to keep the body cells in shape.

Get Enough Sleep

When you do not get enough sleep, the body releases cortisol. Cortisol is the stress hormone. It causes acne or psoriasis. Rest will leave you feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

Work Out

During exercise, the body burns excess fat and cortisone. Working out is a better way to release stress. Exercise also helps to keep the skin clear. Take a shower immediately after exercising.

Damaged skin increases the chances of infection. In case your coat gets blisters, cracks, and even cuts provide the necessary first aid. If the symptoms persist, talk to the doctor. Damaged skin needs more treatment than just home care. It may need therapy too.
